Jack & Shoes

Jack love shoes!  He's not picky!  He just loves to slip them on and stomp around the house!

Thanksgiving

Hailey & I started cooking our Thanksgiving Feast on Wed.  She cracked her first two eggs successfully, which landed perfectly in the bowl with no spills or eggs shells!  Yay!  She looks so proud about the eggs!  I was never a big fan of pumpkin pie until I made it with Hailey last year.  She really makes a good one!

Hailey & Jack watched the Macy's Parade, while I finished cooking on Thursday.  Then they put on their own parade!
Jack closed his eyes each time he crashed the cymbals.
Don't they look like a Chinese Dragon?  Hailey said they were a Jack Ghost!
After our yummy dinner, the kids ran around outside.  Hailey took her broom and said, "I am going to be the girl from Harry Potter!"  I love how she rides her broom backwards.  I tried to tell her, but she just won't listen to my absurd suggestion.

Mr. Curious

You know your kids are usually up to no good when things are too quiet!  This is what I found... Jack in a container of flour!  Oh, what fun he was having until I found him!  I have a container of flour outside.  We occasionally lay out a sheet and pour half a bag of flour on it!  (Lots of fun until they put it in each others hair!  When you wash it out, it turns to paste)

You can see Jack saying, "No!" when I told him we needed to clean this up!  What a mess!
Check out the metal around his neck.  At least it wasn't Hailey's necklace!

Happy Halloween

We carved pumpkins.  Hailey named her's Ghosty.  She carved it all by herself, using tools that cut circles or triangles!

Hailey loves Halloween for two reasons: costumes and candy.
Jack loves Halloween for two reason: suckers and M&M's.

We had a fun Halloween in our new neighborhood!
Turns out they give out tons of candy and even goody bags too!

Hailey's class had a harvest festival the day before Halloween.  Jack and I joined their festivities (parading, bobbing for apples, hidden treasure in the sand area, pumpkin walk, frosting pumpkin muffins, to name a few).  Their class also sang two songs for the parents.  Jack mostly followed the schools chickens, trying to feed them.  (We love her school & Jack can't wait to go there!)

Did you notice Hailey's costume switch?
She decided, minutes before walking out the door to Trick-Or-Treat, that she didn't want to be Tinkerbell, but Diamand Castle Barbie.

Hailey

Hailey is such a fun girl!  She has a great sense of humor!  She can also be very kind and caring!  She loves to sing and dance!  She makes up her own songs too, some gross and other nice and sweet.  She loves to dress up!  Hailey loves to cook, paint, do craft, and carpentry (at school).  She is very creative in about everything she does.  I guess that's why she doesn't like me telling her how things need to be done (how to put soap in the dish washer, how to wash her hands, how to eat her food, which shoe goes on which foot, etc.)

Best of Friends

They are either best friends or vicious enemies!  These are moments I treasure!  Cuddling together while watching a movie.  A fun and silly bath time.  Good times to remember!
